Manufacturing insulation material out of rice husks

A process is for manufacturing insulation material out of rice husks. Stage 1 involves separating fine particles by means of wind sifting or filtering. Subsequently, the process involves applying borax dissolved in water in a proportion of 1-10 wt.%. The rice husks are dried to a normal water content. Starch or lignin is applied as a bonding agent in a proportion of 4-40 wt.% and the husks are then dried at a pressure of 0.01-40 bar and at a temperature of 80-180 deg C.
