PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for storing enormous data in a camera body by imparting 1st and 2nd lens groups and carrying out a prescribed control based on the result made by a discriminating means. CONSTITUTION:Based on data identifying lens group of mounted lens, it is judged to belong to which lens group. When the lens belonging to the 1st lens group is mounted, a prescribed control is performed based on 1st lens data stored in it and 2nd lens data stored in the camera body specified by type discriminating data. When the lens belonging to the 2nd lens group is mounted, a prescribed control is performed based on 1st and 2nd lens data stored in it. Namely, type identifying data specifies 2nd lens data inherent to the lens, and a 2nd function is controlled. |
