PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite ceramic capable of being easily obtained in the atmosphere with good denseness, having a dense and good conductivity, low in temp. dependency of thermal expansion coefficient and excellent in oxidation resistance and a separator for a solid-electrolyte fuel cell contg. the ceramic, with the sealability and contact with an electrode improved, good in consistency of the thermal expansion coefficient with the electrolyte and further excellent on oxidation resistance. SOLUTION: A homogeneous material consisting of the rare-earth chromitic ceramic A shown by (L1-x Ax )a (Cr1-y By )b O3 (where L is La and Ba, B is at least one kind selected from Co, Ni, Fe, Mn, Cu and Zn, 0.02<=x<=0.4, 0.01<=y<=0.5 and 0.95<=a/b<=1.05) and at least one kind of ceramic B selected from an oxide- base nonconductive ceramic, multiple oxide-base nonconductive ceramic and silicic ceramic is used as the ceramic, and the volume ratio of the components A to B is controlled to 30:70 to 95:5. |
