摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact apparatus which can efficiently remove nitrogen and phosphorus in a very short treatment time without using chemicals other than a sterilizing agent. An iron phosphate flock which is going to float by the adhesion of hydrogen gas generated at a cathode 5 and ions are dispersed by air from an air diffusing tube 6a, and excessively eluted iron is adsorbed by a plate-shaped adsorbent 4. In an aeration sterilization tank 7, sterilization is done by a sterilization agent, eluted iron is oxidized to produce an iron oxide flock, ammonium ion is reacted with hypochlorous acid, which is a component of the hydrolysis of the sterilization agent, to decompose it into nitrogen gas, water, and hydrochloric acid. In a precipitation tank 8, flocks of iron phosphate and iron oxide and others are precipitated, and supernatant is separated to be discharged.
