<p>The invention relates to a sheet metal work center whose lower tool is mounted in a transfer device which is movable in the vertical direction in relation to the body in a way that the lower tool can optionally be moved by the transfer device to at least the following selectable positions in relation to the body: a) a lower position, whereat the lower tool is substantially accessible underneath the working level, particularly for exchange and/or maintenance operations, b) a middle position, whereat the lower tool is brought substantially to the working level to be used as a stopper for the upper tool to effect work on the sheet, and c) an upper position, whereat the lower tool is driven underneath the working level to conduct work on the lower surface of the sheet.</p> |
