Ski binding for firm and safe hold on ski boot

The ski binding (1) engages the sole of a ski boot which has a truncated cone-shaped recess at the rear. A spring-loaded clamping part engages into this with a dome-shaped coupling part, when the ski binding is locked. The clamping part slides longitudinally in a binding housing on the ski, and is moved out against the spring force, so that the binding releases when the impact or fall release load is reached. The spring force is generated by a pressure spring in the binding housing. A smaller version of the binding is located at the front of the boot sole.
