Hand grip for a laser unit for surgery

The grip (2) has ends (2a,2b) and a passage (3) for an optical fibre (4) from the proximal end (2a) to distal end (2b) for delivery of the laser beam to the work zone. It further includes a clamping unit (5) for quick fastening of the optical fibre to the grip, and an operating unit (6) with a quickly fastenable and separable connector (7) and a rigid, preformed cover element (8) for the optical fibre. The grip is provided with a number of quickly interchangeable operating units with connectors and differently shaped rigid cover elements for the optical fibre. A reference unit is provided in place of operating units for establishing the required protruding length of the optical fibre before the latter is fixed by the clamping unit. The end of the reference unit is closed. The grip accommodates an internal flexible lining serving for support of the optical fibre.
