Ionisation probe e.g. for gas burner

An ionisation probe for gas burners has an elongated body whose free end protrudes into the core of the flame and whose other end is joined to the flame controller. The body is housed within a conducting tube (7) for part of its length, but spaced away by an insulator. The insulator comprises a pair of bushes at the ends of the tube, each one rigidly attached to the body and the tube. The body is circular in section and is metal.
