Electric through-flow heater for liquid medium

The through-flow heater has a flow pipe (1) enclosed by one or more axis parallel heating elements embedded in Al profiles (4,5) fitted around the outside of the flow pipe, the whole enclosed by a profiled outer sleeve (6) of CrNi steel, as in P 195 23 047. The heating elements are provided by heating coils (8), each embedded in compressed MgO (14) packed into a bore (9) in the Al profile having a flat oval cross-section.
