PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of preventing an undesired belt-like part from being generated. SOLUTION: After prescribed time elapsed (t4 ) since the leading end of a paper sheet P reaches a position of a transfer charger (t3 ), firstly, a first transfer switch 29 is turned on, and negative voltage is applied to the transfer charger. Thereafter, in a state that the first switch 29 is turned on, the second switch 30 is turned on, and the voltage being larger than the previous voltage is applied to the transfer charger (t5 ). After the second switch 30 is turned on, the leading end of the toner image reaches a position of the transfer charger. In this way, since the voltage applied to the transfer charger is raised to the specified voltage while divided in two steps, the overshoot occurring at a moment of applying the voltage to the transfer charger can be prevented. Therefore, a seriously low potential part on the drum surface is prevented from being generated. |
