PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the metallic oxidation in a laser beam welding and at the same time, efficiently improve the penetration. SOLUTION: The laser beam generates from a YAG laser beam device 10 condensely irradiates the cloding part P of a material W to be welded from an exiting unit 14 through an optical fiber 12. In a shield gas nozzle 16 arranged near the exiting unit 14, the shield gas at the room temp. is supplied from a shield gas supplying source 20 through a gas supplying pipe 18. A heater for heating the gas is included in the shield gas nozzle 16, and after heating the shield gas in there to sufficiently high temp., the shield gas becomes warm blast and is blown toward the welding part of the material W to be welded. |
