PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image signal processor capable of coping with the disconnection of a transmission line for inputting an image signal to a discriminating device by providing a disconnection detecting circuit detecting the disconnection of the transmission line. SOLUTION: The disconnection detecting circuit 6 detects the disconnection of the transmission line for inputting the image signal to a paper money discriminating circuit 7, the circuit 7 inputs the image signal through the circuit 6 of a reading circuit 2, and discriminates whether a copied original is such a specified object as a paper money or a security or not, for example. The disconnection of the transmission line can be easily detected with a simple method even in the case of performing falsification that the transmission line to the circuit 7 is disconnected, for example, by providing the circuit 6, so that such a forgery preventing means as the stopping of the image signal output to an image processing part 8 and the copying of a pattern unrelated to a reading signal on a paper, etc., can be taken, and the copying of the paper money can be prevented from being easily performed. |
