PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide duplicate pictures faithful to original pictures for which the sensitivity and feeling of a human being are taken into consideration by computing output signals based on color correction signals obtained by converting the color resolving signals of the object pixels of color correction and a specified index. SOLUTION: The storage color index calculation part 4 of a color correction device 2 calculates indexes for indicating the likeness of the color for storage colors such as a skin color and the color of a sky, etc., for the respective storage colors based on the color resolving signals of the respective pixels of input picture data. Also, a chrominance signal conversion part 5 converts RGB signals which are the color resolving signals of the respective pixels of the input picture data to CMY(K) signals which are the density signals of a printer in an output device 3. Then, an arithmetic part 6 performs the color correction of the input picture data based on the index calculated in the storage color index calculation part 4 and chrominance signals converted in the chrominance signal conversion part 5 and outputs the CMY(K) signals of the duplicate pictures to the output device 3. Thus, a picture processing is performed so as not to generate pseudo contours in an area where the judgement of whether or not it is the color to be corrected is difficult. |
