PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a myocardial protective fluid capable of protecting hypertrophic myocardium getting easily ischemic or morbid myocardium, enabling safe operation in bloodless visual field without the need of using any local hypothermia, and enabling favorable cardiac function recovery, by combining histidine with a specific compound in specified proportions. SOLUTION: This myocardial protective fluid contains a combination of 90-110 (esp. 100) mM/L of histidine with 0.05-2 (esp. 0.1) mM/L of adenosine. Owing to the combination, the necessary amount of the histidine to be used becomes minimum and production of histamine can be suppressed to a minimum. Besides, it is preferable that the fluid contains glucose serving as the substrate of glycolytic system (9-12mM/L), insulin to raise glucose intake into cells (7.1-121U/L) and lidocaine as a Na channel blocker (60-120mg/L). This fluid is optimum for preserving hypertrophic myocardium, and pref. has its pH at 7.7-7.9. |
