PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform collective conversion in following conversion operations even in the case that an inputted long KANA (Japanese syllabary) character string has no conversion candidates and is divided once and is converted thereafter at the time of KANA-KANJI (chinese character) conversion of the long KANA character string and to use a personal dictionary to perform collective conversion even at the time of conversion of a partial character string of the long KANA character string. SOLUTION: After the long KANA character string inputted from an input device 2 is subjected to KANA-KANJI conversion by a KANA-KANJI conversion control part 3, the KANA/KANJI character string after conversion is divided into syllables by a registration processing part 8, and they are combined with corresponding parts of the KANA character string stored in an input KANA character string storage part 4 and are registered in a personal dictionary 7. It is good that each divided character string is divided into KANJI and KANA, and the combination of the reading of KANJI and KANJI and the combination of the reading of KANJI and (KANJI)+(KANA(post-positioned word functioning as an auxiliary to a main word/auxiliary verb)) are registered in the personal dictionary 7. |
