PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition which can give a smooth-surface product such as an extruded sheet used for cases for food and packaging materials, is excellent in transparency, rigidity, and face impact resistance at room temperature and at -10 deg.C and is improved in grindability in reworking of sheets and films. SOLUTION: This transparent resin composition is prepared by mixing a block copolymer (a) being a block copolymer composed of vinylaromatic hydrocarbon polymer blocks A and polymer blocks B each of which comprises a vinylaromatic hydrocarbon and a conjugated diene and in which at least one of the peak temperatures of tanδfalls within the range of -5 deg.C to -55 deg.C, having a vinylaromatic hydrocarbon content of 60-80wt.% a rate of the vinylaromatic hydrocarbon blocks of above 80 to 90wt.%, the vinylaromatic hydrocarbon polymer block having a molecular weight distribution of above 1.6 to 3.0, a content of a component having a molecular weight of 60,000 or above of 15-60wt.%, and the copolymer having a Vicat softening temperature of 65-90 deg.C with a copolymer resin (b) comprising a vinylaromatic hydrocarbon and (meth)acrylic ester.
