PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily apply marking for a mounting position of a step plate to a side wall plate, so that a plurality of kinds of staircases with a different tilt angle can be efficiently prepared. SOLUTION: In a marking jig, a mounting position of a step plate is marked in a side wall plate 21 in the case of preparing of a staircase formed by horizontally mounting a plurality of step plates in both side wall plates 21. A jig main unit 2 has a pair of linear marking rule parts 6a, 7a made parallel by separating a space (h) conformed to a step space H. A guide unit 3 has a linear slide contact guide part 10a which can be brought into slide contact with a side end edge 21c of the side wall plate 21 in a condition holding both the marking rule parts 6a, 7a to a surface of the side wall plate 21. In order to arbitrarily adjust a crossing angleβrelating to the marking rule parts 6a, 7a of the slide contact guid part 10a, the guide unit 3 is swivelably connected to the jig main unit 2.
