STEP MOTOR TYPE MEASURING INSTRUMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a step motor type measuring instrument which can reliably hold a painter in an origin position when a power source switch is turned off and whose pointer does not unnecessarily move in an unexcited condition. SOLUTION: A magnet 350 is embedded in an inside lower part of a tip indicating part 410 of a pointer 400 by press-in or an adhesive so that positional dislocation is not caused. A stopper pin 380 composed of a magnet is erected on a dial 200 so that a magnetic action is generated between it and this magnet 350. The pointer 400 can be made unnecessarily immovable in an unexcited condition by the magnetic action.
