<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit an N port (node port) to continue transmitting frames to a fiber channel even if the number of the frames received by the fiber channel reaches the max. one in stipulation. SOLUTION: A fiber channel switch device is provided with a transmission credit counter for counting the number of the frames to be transmitted to an F (fiber port) port by the N port in the N port. Moreover, a receiving buffer credit counter 482 for counting the plural receiving buffers which temporarily stores the frames transmitted from the N port and the receiving buffers which can be used at present for receiving the frames from the N port and a reception credit counter 480 for counting the number of the frames transmitted at a time to the F port because storage is the temporary one in the N port are provided in the F port. Then, the above transmission credit counter, the reception credit counter 480 and the receiving buffer credit counter 482 are utilized so that the usage probability of the receiving buffers in the respective F nodes is tracked and frame transmission efficiency as a whole system is improved.</p> |
