PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite insulator for a superconductor by assembling a three-dimensional composite insulating material containing glass fiber of a three-dimensional web and epoxy resin contained in the web. SOLUTION: In a three-dimensional web, a warp fiber is much more stitched than that in a warp-weft system plane. Glass and epoxy fibers, which are compositions, are so selected as to give the optimum conformation of their thermal expansion coefficient to that of a CICC conductive tube. One option of the CICC conductive tube materials to be used is Incoloy 908. These materials are so used as to be suitable for Sb3 Sn which is a superconductive material. This combination is common for a high power or high electric field superconductive magnet. An insulator material is so selected as to give the optimum conformation of its thermal expansion coefficient to that of the CICC conductive tube and the superconductive materials and obtained by the aiming three-dimensional property. An insulator material to be used suitably for Incoloy 908 and Sb3 Sn is S2 glass fibers produced from CTD 101 K having an epoxy type weft.
|
