The fan (10) for the alternator which has internal cooling is intended to fitted against one face of the rotor of the alternator. The fan comprises at least two parts (10a,10b) formed by cutting and folding sheet metal. The two parts form two superimposed discs, each provided with a set of blades (11a,11b) which are angularly shifted one w.r.t. the other. Each disc includes a central opening, with one of the discs (16b) having an axial collar (14b) which penetrates into the opening in the other disc (16a). The outer part of the fan includes points for welding to the rotor, whilst the inner part of the fan includes openings through which these points pass.
