PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a signal among converted by a light receiving means enough and to form an excellent RF signal by reflecting light reflected on a first area with a third area, transmitting it through a second area and making it incident on the light receiving means. SOLUTION: In this optical pickup, since a polarization plane conversion substrate 31 is constituted in the state that a distance between a second slope 31b forming a polarized light separating film 12 and a first slope 31a forming a reflection film 126 is reduced extremely, the volume of the polarization plate conversion substrate 31 is reduced drastically. Then, nearly two whole quantity of the light incident on the polarization plane conversion substrate 31 is guided to the polarized light separating film 12, and the light divided to optical paths according to these components nearly by 1:1 by the polarized light separating film 12 are guided to light receiving parts according to respective components of a photodetector 13 while supporting the light quantity. |
