The support bearing comprises a spring plate which supports the strut unit, and is supported on a flange part (6) via a roller bearing. The flange part has an axial support surface (13) and a radial centering surface (16). A fixed part (12) of the roller bearing (5) is supported directly on the surfaces. The flange part has a tubular extension (10), with two inward projecting axially opposite internal support faces (23,24) for an elastomer part (11), which supports a bar or a tube. A sleeve (22) of aluminium or steel is fitted to the tube, and has two outer support faces (25,26) engaging on those of the tubular extension.
