Method of hermetically sealing a container of electromechanical components and sealed container thus obtained

Hermetic sealing of a container consisting of two half-shells (3,4) and which is intended to contain electromechanical components which require a hermetic environment protected from the infiltration of external contaminating liquids or agents; a closed groove (11) common to both half-shells and extending along the opposing faces of the thickened edge of each half-shell, is filled with an elastomeric resin having chemical affinity with the polymeric resin with which the two half-shells are constructed; the sealing resin adheres intimately by molecular bonds with the resin of the half-shells, rendering them irreversibly attached and perfectly leaktight; the method comprises the steps of joining together the two half-shells, after having placed the electromechanical components inside them; introducing the closed container into an injection mould; injecting into the common groove (11) an elastomeric resin which is chemically compatible with the resin of the half-shells; leaving the elastomeric resin to harden in the same mould and/or after extracting the sealed container from this mould. <IMAGE> <IMAGE>
