PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify operation for exchanging pressure gauges by simple constitution while increasing the durability of the pressure gauges and improving the accuracy of measurement. SOLUTION: This earth-pressure measuring device comprises a bulk head 10 separating a chamber installed at the rear of a cutter head for a tunnel excavator 1 and the inside of the tunnel excavator 1 or a pressure gauge 20 detachably mounted on the shield body of the tunnel excavator 1 from the inside of the tunnel excavator 1. The earth-pressure measuring device for the tunnel excavator 1 is composed of a pressure transmission means 23 being set up on the outside of the pressure-receiving section 20b of the pressure gauge 20 and hermetically sealing the pressure gauge 20 from the chamber 12 or a void while transmitting earth pressure in the chamber 12 or the void to the pressure-receiving section 20b of the pressure gauge 20.
