PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve combustion efficiency by activation a purified air, needles to say by purification, and further to reduce harmful materials in a waste gas, by incorporating a mineral having specific natural residual magnetization and high absorptivity in infrared wavelength region. SOLUTION: It is essential for this air filter composition to contain the specific mineral as an effective component. The specific mineral has 10<-4> -10<-13> T natural residual magnetization and >=80% absorptivity in 4-24#×m infrared wavelength. As the examples, granite, quartz porphyry or the like are cited. The composition is utilized in the state of carrying the specific mineral fine powder on an adequate carrier or the state of mortar, concrete, a coating material or the like as the air filter. For example, in the case of being used as an air filter for automobile, the air filter is practiacally applied by using a base material of an element main body as a carrier, adding, mixing the specific mineral fine powder and carrying thereon to form the element.
