<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of corrosion by providing air piping in the vicinity of the leading end surface of a support insulator box and providing a distribution means to the inner surface near to the support insulator of the support insulator box to allow air to almost uniformly flow through a flue duct to eliminate the stagnation of gas containing sulfuric acid mist. SOLUTION: In the wet electric dust precipitator arranged on the downstream side of an exhaust gas desulfurizer, a flue duct is partitioned into a plurality of small ducts and these ducts are used as dust collecting electrodes 2 and rod-shaped discharge electrodes 3 are arranged to the centers of the respective dust collecting electrodes 2. The upper and lower ends of the respective discharge electrodes 3 are connected to upper and lower support frames 6, 4. A support insulator box 7 is attached to the corner part of the outer surface of the flue duct above and below the dust collecting electrodes 2. In this case, a slot 8 parallel to the leading end surface (a) of the support insulator box 7 is bored and an air piping 9 is connected to the slot 8. When air is supplied from the air piping 9, air is distributed by a metal net 10 to almost uniformly flow through the flue duct.</p> |
