PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate any connection point, and enhance quality in appearance by extending a pillar molding extended along a front pillar continuously to a drip molding extended along a roof side rail, and forming them into a single molding. SOLUTION: This invention is concerned with the molding structure for the upper part of an automobile body provided with a front pillar 10 and a roof side rail disposed in the longitudinal direction, and the structure is provided with a molding 18 which integrally combines a pillar molding part extended along a front pillar with a drip molding part extended along a roof side rail so as to form them in a body, and with a flush mount molding 20. The molding is formed out of a stationary part 44 which is fixed to the front pillar and the roof side rail, and of an ornamental part 46 representing an upper portion above the stationary part. The free peripheral portion of the ornamental part is formed as a wall surface 46 spaced from the end face of a pane of wind shield glass 22 in the pillar molding part, and the free peripheral portion of the ornamental part is formed while being overlapped in the drip molding part. A flush mount molding is also disposed in the spaced place. |
