PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thrust bearing capable of easily joining a plate forming a bearing sliding surface (poly-tetra fluoro-ethylene formed plate, etc.) to a base metal, high in the joining strength, capable of keeping the joining strength for a long time, and provided with an inexpensive stationary plate. SOLUTION: In a constitution of a stationary plate of a thrust bearing, a bearing sliding surface 2b to be brought into slidable contact with a rotary part is formed, and a poly-tetra fluoro-ethylene formed plate 2 is integratedly joined with a base metal 3 with the metal 5 such as tin of lower melting point than that of the poly-tetra fluoro-ethylene formed plate 2 which is interposed between the poly-tetra fluoro-ethylene formed plate 2 having a hole 2a and the base metal 3 and filled in the hole 2a. In order to increase the joining strength of the poly-tetra fluoro-ethylene formed plate 2, the shape of the hole 2 is inversely-truncated conical so that the poly-tetra fluoro-ethylene formed plate 2 is locked to the metal 5. |
