PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the output of an electric drive unit, secure the cooling capability of electric parts generating much heat, and make the whole compact by arranging the electric parts generating much heat in the electric drive unit, and arranging electric parts generating little heat in a control unit. SOLUTION: The electric drive unit 6 of an electric outboard motor is provided below a support tube 5, and a control unit 7 controlling the electric drive unit 6 is provided above it. The electric drive unit 6 and the control unit 7 are connected by wires 20, and the electric drive unit 6 is operated via the action of an operation handle 8. A switching element generating much heat within the electric parts for controlling the electric drive unit 6 is arranged in the electric drive unit 6, and electric parts generating little heat are separately stored in the control unit 7. The whole can be made compact while the cooling capability of the electric parts generating much heat is secured. |
