PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain polyalkylene naphthalate fibers having excellent adhesiveness with a resin and resistance to flexural abrasion by applying a treating agent composed of an epoxy compound and an oily agent component mainly comprising a smoothing agent. SOLUTION: This polyethylene naphthalate multifilament yarn for adhesion of a resin is obtained by melt spinning polyethylene naphthalate, solidifying by cooling, applying 0.1-3.0wt.%, preferably 0.2-1.0wt.% of a specific treating agent and winding once, then subjecting to drawing and heat-treating at a constant length. The specific treating agent is prepared by blending 30-80wt.%, preferably 40-70wt.%, more preferably 50-60wt.% an epoxy compound such as glycerin polyglycidyl ether with 70-20wt.%, preferably 60-30wt.%, more preferably 50-40wt.% an oily agent component mainly comprising a smoothing agent such as dioleyl thiodipropionate. |
