Special reduction gearing with stranded intermediate ring

The reduction gearing has an outer ring with internal teeth, a flexible intermediate ring (2) which has a smaller number of external teeth (14), and which rolls on the teeth of the outer ring, and an elliptical inner component. Rolling elements are arranged between the inner component and the intermediate ring, and are mounted on a bearing ring. The intermediate ring is made from strands (15) of steel band, which are arranged close to one another in a coil, and which are connected to each other by bridges. The latter may be formed by spot welds, spot adhesive bonds, or synthetic sleeves (16), which bridge the gaps (4) between adjacent windings (20) or strands.
