Described is an acoustic-insulation device using sound-absorbing elements, in particular for internal-combustion engines. The invention calls for the engine to be surrounded by an enclosure fitted with sound-absorbing elements. Labyrinth-forming elements are also fitted. In addition, absorption material of varying thickness is fitted along the path travelled by the sound.
