The trailer has a V-shaped towing fork fixed to the front end of its chassis. Each fork stringer (6) is slotted out (7) to admit a U-shaped flange (8) and its angled legs (9) which are secured by nut and bolt (13) to the chassis. Each stringer has a C-shaped profile (15) made from a flat sheet so that its free outer edges (16) point with one leg (17) towards the inside of the profile, as does the rim surround edge (26) of the respective stringer slot (7). The bottom flange (18) of the stringers is at an angle and the leading ends of the stringers are fitted out with lengthways spacers (19) and joined by transverse connectors to one another. The stringers taper towards the towbar and are interconnected via the spacer tubes (22) and spacer sheet (23) and the screw connection (21).
