The socket comprises a cover formed by a frame and a central drive (14), with a spring-loaded lid flap (12) swivelably fitted to the cover, covering at least the central disc. The swivelable lid flap in held in its open position by a spring mechanism. There is a closure for the lid flap closing state, holding it in its fold-down position. A push-actuator releases the lip flap in the direction of the plug socket (10). Preferably the lid flap is hinged to the cover, with the hinge formed by a pin passing through eyelets on the cover and lid flap.
