The openings between the sleepers(2) are filled out by several square-form airborne noise damping links(1) located in small parallel spaces lying next to each other in the millimetre range. The links have lugs(5) fastened on the sleepers. On the outer side of each rail(10) holders(11) acting as a wall are fastened parallel to it. The holders are T-shaped in plan and by their web section are accurately fitted between two consecutive sleepers. The links are rectangular in form and have a length equal to the gap between two sleepers as well as having punched plates on the longitudinal and end sides. They are filled with sound absorbing and damping material (6) such as stone or glass wool.
