PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processor for attractively outputting a character image having a part of a thin line width when a character is outputted after imparted with the gradation. SOLUTION: A CPU 5 contains a gradation setting means, a both end pixel discrimination means and a gradation inhibition means. The gradation setting means 5 sets a gradation density value in pixels forming an outline vicinity part in the image data for imparting the gradation to the outline vicinity part of the character image. Further, the both end pixel discrimination means scans the character image on the image data, and discriminates both end pixels of an area where the pixels become continuously an on state on the scanning line. Further, the gradation inhibition means 5 inhibits that the gradation setting means sets the gradation density value in both pixels in the image data when the number of pixels existing between both end pixels is below a prescribed number. |
