<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic golf club head with strength and flexibility and capable to increase the carry, by setting a head main body with a hollow inside and an opening at the face attaching part at the rear side of the face member and forming a the wall part on the back side of the face member. SOLUTION: This golf club head comprises a face member 10 to hit a ball and a hollow head main body 13, a plurality of shallow grooves 10a are formed on the surface of the face member 10, and the face member 10 is integrally welded along the face setting part 14. On the back side of the face member 10, a concave lens-like thin wall part 16 is formed on a range to cover parts to collide with a ball frequently. The head main body 12 comprises a top face part 20 almost in a flat plate and a part 22 integrally formed sole part and side periphery part, the top face part 20 is welded with the periphery part of the hollow part 22 and further a pipe 24 for shaft attaching is integrally welded. Centrifugal force of the head speed on hitting and the carry is extended.</p> |
