<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently discharge oil stored in an oil filter when oil or the oil filter is replaced. SOLUTION: While an open state is being held from a sealed state by depressing a cover member 20 and a filter housing 10 against a push spring 34, the member 20 is turned through 90 deg. relative to the housing 10 to release pusing forces from the member 20. Whereupon, an upper surface of the member 20 having an elliptic shape in the longitudinal direction is held in contact with a lower surface of a protrusion 14 in a shorter direction of an elliptic hole 13 of the housing 10, whereby a space S is produced between the upper surface of the member 20 and the lower surface the protrusion 14 to allow air to flow in from the outside. As a result, oil remaining in the housing 10 is discharged rapidly and completely from the housing 10 to the side of an internal combustion engine.</p> |
