The variable speed device of an automobile manual transmission gear comprises: a control shaft(1) having a means for obtaining a variable speed sensation upon shifting to five-stage and a neutral position of reverse movement, on a predetermined position of the neutral portion thereof and one side end secured via a spring pin(P) on a transmission gear case(C); a control finger(10) having one side end on which an external shift lever(11) is fixedly attached and the other side coupled as integrated with a finger part(12) slidably and rotatably in left and right directions; and a housing(20) arranged slidably in left and right directions on the outer peripheral surface of the control shift(1) and having a means for obtaining a variable speed decrement upon the transmission to each stage in a neutral state on the upper side thereof, a double contact preventing part installed on the lower side thereof, spacers(32,33) formed to be separated by a predetermined interval(d1) within the interior of one side boss(31), and a neutral return spring(34) installed between the spacers(32,33).
