Surface cleaner head with cleaning elements and holder socket

The strips (9) forming the cleaning elements are secured lengthways (8) to the cleaner head (1) and are arranged in spaced rows (4-7) across the head so the gap between the strips in one row is bridged by strips in the row in each case. The cleaning fluid can pass through at the sides between adjoining rows of specifically rubber or plastics cleaning strips. The strips diminish in diameter towards their tip end and the head is equipped with a flexible wiping strip (13) extending right through and projecting transversely. This wiping strip should be angled towards the underside of the head and has angled or rounded ends. The entire head, to include both sets of strips (9 and 13) plus the handle socket, if used, are made of an integral plastics or rubber moulding.
