The movable component (26) is movable between a first position and a second position and is useful within an environment where an unintentional moving force can be applied to the movable component (26). The movable component (26) can be a part of a latching apparatus for latching itself to another component (28). Or, the movable component (26) can be a part of a sensing apparatus for sensing a stimulus which causes the movement of the movable component (26).
