<p>The present invention relates to an arrangement for doubling the frequency of electric signals. A source provides a periodic signal of a given frequency which is input to a first amplifying arrangement (A1) with non-inverting and inverting signal input means. A frequency doubling circuit is provided which comprises resistors (R21, R23) and capacitors (C4, C5) and it is arranged on the output side of the first amplifying arrangement (A1) and a second signal is provided, the frequency of which is substantially twice the frequency of the first input signal. The second signal is a saw-tooth signal and it is supplied to first (7) and second (8) non-inverting and inverting, respectively, signal input means of a second amplifying arrangement (A2) in which the saw-tooth signal is amplified to saturation. Means, e.g., a feedback circuit is provided through which the duty cycle of the signal output from the second amplifying arrangement can be controlled.</p> |
