<p>Mfr. of candles having a central wick comprises pouring liq. paraffin or stearin and/or the like into a mould to be cooled by a liquified gas or gas mixt. (I). Also claimed is an appts. with a tube (1) fitted with openings to spray (I). PREFERRED PROCESS - (I) is an inert gas, esp. N2 and/or Ar. The wicks can be adjusted before or during the cooling process. (I) is sprayed horizontally on the candle moulds at the level of the highest liq. meniscus, pref. parallel to the transport movement direction of the moulds (K). (I) is sprayed continuously or discontinuously. (I) which evaporate during the cooling process is used to pre-cool or post-cool the moulds with the help of a blow appts. and/or a housing around the transport appts.</p> |
