<p>The tank has an air release pipe discharging into a tank top point. A valve (34), interposed in the pipe, has a balance weight (52) which, in the event of partial reversal of the vehicle flattens an obturator (54) against an upper valve seat (40). This prevents fuel escaping from the tank through the air release pipe. The balance weight causes, when the vehicle is horizontally at rest, valve obturation. Vibrations engendered during vehicle movement cause valve opening and release air from the tank. The valve has a housing (36) delimited at one end by the upper seat and at the lower end by a lower span (42). The balance weight and the obturator are mounted with play in this housing. The seat and the span are arranged axially facing each other along a vertical axis with the vehicle at rest. Upper and lower portions of the air release pipe discharge at the centre of the upper seat and the lower span.</p> |
