<p>The method concerns coating of foundry moulds and/or cores (2) with a powder, in order to produce a barrier against gases which otherwise would enter into the casting. The powder is mixed with a granular base material or sand, and the mould (and or core) is coated by washing it with the resultant, dried mixture.
