PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption without damaging responsiveness by operating a reception circuit with large power consumption, etc., when a starting means detects a specified pattern. SOLUTION: A transmitter/receiver 51 for inspector of meter turns on/off a switch circuit 16 by the specified pattern which is preliminarily set to a meter side transmitter/receiver 50a and performs an on/off modulation for a nonmodulated carrier signal, by the control signal from a control circuit 14. In the meter side transmitter/receiver 50a, this on/off modulation signal is inputted in a detection diode 9 and the signal is detected. The detected signal is inputted in a pattern detection circuit 12 and the pattern detection circuit 12 judges the matching/mismatching of the inputted pattern and the pattern which is preliminarily set to the meter side transmitter/receiver 50a. If the patterns are matched, a switch circuit 13 is turned on, power source voltage is supplied to a reception circuit 3, a control circuit 4 and a transmission circuit 7 and the whole of the meter side transmitter/receiver 50a is made its operating state. |
