PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save the running cost required for decontamination operation by generating electric power with a solar cell utilizing solar light from the rear surface even if a photocatalytic sheet is placed in the shade by the condition of installed location and supplying the generated electric power to a light source lamp to energize. SOLUTION: This harmful gas removing device is constituted by using a photocatalytic sheet 1 as a main body, a light source lamp 3 arranged to face the front surface side of the photocatalytic sheet 1, a solar cell panel 2 installed back to back on the rear surface side of te photocatalytic sheet 1 and a power source part 4 for feeding electromotive force of the solar cell panel 2 to the light source lamp 3 in combination to adsorb and capture air pollutants on photocatalytic layer by irradiating the photocatalytic sheet 1 obtained by film- forming the photocatalytic layer consisting essentially of titanium dioxide with light including near-ultraviolet ray. As a result, the decontamination operation is performed by supplying the output of the solar cell panel 2 generating power energy by receiving solar light to the light source lamp 3 to energize and activating the photocatalyst by the irradiation of near-ultraviolet ray. |
