FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines; sealing of water pumps. SUBSTANCE: end face seal has axially movable direction ring 1 installed in housing 2 and pressed by resilient member 3 to end face rotating member 4 mounted on shaft 5. Resilient member 3 is made in form of half of corrugation whose top 6 and base 7 are in form of coaxial cylindrical surfaces mated through bridge 8. Novelty is that outer and inner surfaces of bridge 8 on part of its circumferential length have convex, preferably, spherical shape, with maximum thickness of bridge 8 in its middle.
