<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute dubbing without deteriorating a video signal by providing a video signal processing means, an audio signal processing means and N audio heads and video heads for recording the audio dubbing signal. SOLUTION: A video signal previously recorded on a magnetic tape 40 is reproduced by video and audio reproducing heads 31VH and 31AH in a first rotary drum 31. Next, control information recorded on the control track of the tape 40 is read by a first control head 32 when the tape 40 is transferred in the tape running direction by means of a capstan. The reproduced video signal is supplied to a preamplifier 42, while the reproduced audio signal is supplied to a preamplifier 55 and the reproduced control information is supplied to a matching circuit 45 and a servo control circuit 48. Here, the circuit 48 generates a servo control signal based on the control signal in the dubbing mode and then supplies this servo control signal to the capstan motor and drum motor.</p> |
